green care PROFESSIONAL honoured as “GREEN BRAND” again

Great joy at Werner & Mertz PROFESSIONAL: green care PROFESSIONAL is certified with the GREEN BRANDS Germany 2017/2018 predicate once again.
Successful re-certification as green brand with highest scoring among three other green brands
Werner & Mertz Professional was honoured with the quality seal “GREEN BRANDS Germany” for its product range green care PROFESSIONAL for the second time. Within the scope of the Half Year Conference, Managing director of tana-Chemie GmbH / Werner & Mertz Professional, Werner Schulze, received the certificate out of the hands of Norbert Lux, business executive and initiator of GREEN BRANDS. “Green” brands of the everyday life, which fit to the increasing awareness of the population towards sustainability, environmentalism and a healthy lifestyle are honoured with this quality seal. In 2015 the product line of green care PROFESSIONAL was honoured with the international award for the first time. Now the environmental award was confirmed in a revalidation process for two more years. “The renewed honour is a motivation for us, to encourage our holistically sustainable alignment in terms of a circular economy and to improve and evolve steadily”, said Managing Director Schulze. Werner & Mertz Professional is the only producer of detergents for professional use, which received this award. “To receive the “GREEN BRAND” label, businesses have to actually testify and proof their sustainable and eco-conscious alignment. Greenwashing does not have a chance with us”, said Lux, to whom it is also about the trustworthiness of a brand. Companies cannot just apply with their brand but they have to be nominated. Every nominated company and every brand then has to proof their sustainable commitment in an elaborate process. In addition to that, an independent jury, consisting of partners of different fields of competence, develops a validation process in form of a questionnaire which also allows small and medium sized enterprises to jump over the 51-percent-hurdle and receive the popular award. The questions are about the company’s purpose, the application of environmental management (CRS), a concrete statement about resource consumption, emissions and waste. Furthermore the level of creating awareness in the company itself, the communication with the customer and the supplier is considered. The independent jury of experts then decides on the awarding. “By now, almost 140 brands and companies of very different sectors have been certified and thereby approved their sustainable alignment. green care PROFESSIONAL shines out at the re-certification with the highest scoring among all certification and shares this pole position with three other green brands.
